Pieces and Commissions
How do I commission a piece from B's Wk's (a.k.a.
B's Works)? If you wish to have a custom piece made
please email me. I will ask that you provide me with some
information regarding the piece you wish to have made. I
will do my best to email you a reply as soon as possible.
I believe that personal contact is important to get a piece
right. I may also have many questions to ask pertaining
to the project.
What kind of information do I need
to email to you? Here are is a list of information I may
need to know for the creation of custom pieces: 1) Please
specify the occasion or reason for the creation
of the piece. This may be a birth, birthday, wedding, graduation,
sentiment ("I love you", holiday or death. Or
you may wish to have a functional piece created for the
home or office. Whatever the occasion may be I will use
this information to help create an appropriate piece. 2) Specify
a gender if it pertains to the piece. Is
the piece for a man or a woman? For a memorial piece is
the gender a female or male dog/cat/horse? 3) Expect
email contact. Again I may have a lot of
questions to ask regarding the decoration of the piece.
I will work with you personally as the item in question
is "custom made." 4) Choose
your preferred colors.
If you wish to have a piece done in a specific color please
let me know. Certain glaze colors are available and we may
need to find a matching color. If you like a piece already
posted on this web site, but would like to see it in a different
color, please let me know. 5) Hobbies
and interests relating to the person the
piece is for may be very helpful. Some examples are hunting,
fishing or gardening. 6) Exact
wording on a piece.
If you wish to have wording put on the piece please submit
to me exact wording. Be sure to double check this to avoid
the possibility of mistaken wording on a piece. 7) I may
ask if it is permissible to use a photograph
of the completed piece on this web site as well as the state/province/country
it was shipped to for my portfolio. Absolutely no personal
information will be posted, just the title of the piece,
and the general shipping destination.
If the piece is too personal you may decline. 8) Before
I begin working on the project I will require
a 50% deposit on the piece payable through Paypal.
The purpose for the 50% deposit is to cover my costs and
supplies for a commissioned or custom piece and is non-refundable
once work has begun.
9) Shipping address and directions.
I have had pieces purchased and shipped from locations such
as Australia, Ireland & Italy. Please provide me with
accurate details. If you wish to have a piece sent via your
preferred carrier, please let me know. 10) Shipping
Cost. Shipping
cost will be calculated and added to the total price of
the piece depending on the destination. 11) Care
for and enjoy your new piece of artwork.
This career is my passion and my life's work and I hope
you get as much enjoyment out of it as I do when I create
